About

You came here with a question: can she actually help me?

Fair question. You have a caseload that does not slow down, or a firm that runs on one person's memory, and you have been burned by advice from people who never did the work. So let me answer it with my story.

Deann Groce

My Story

25 years of doing the work, not talking about it.

I started the way most paralegals start: handed a full caseload and a desk, and left to figure out the rest. I know the 9 pm second guessing, the deadline you triple check because nobody taught you the system, the feeling that everyone assumes you already know.

The turning point came when I stopped waiting for someone to train me and started building systems of my own. Deadlines stopped being scary. My attorneys stopped checking my work and started asking my opinion. Over 25 years on the plaintiff side, in Texas firms of every size and temperament, I built the desk that could survive my vacation.

Along the way I saw both kinds of firms. Firms that ran on systems kept their promises to clients when someone got sick, quit, or finally took a week off. Firms that ran on memory held their breath and hoped. I build the first kind.

That is what Wonder Working Woman is. I mentor paralegals until they carry the job with real confidence, and I give the firms that employ them honest counsel on staffing, software, and people. Plainly, and with receipts.

At a Glance

What I bring to your side of the table.

25 years, plaintiff side

Every filing, every deadline, every client call. I teach from experience, not theory.

Texas firms, every size

Solo shops to heavy dockets. I have seen what breaks and what holds.

Systems builder

Staffing plans, case management decisions, and desk level habits that outlast any one memory.

Mentor, not lecturer

I teach the job at the level attorneys expect it done, on your real files, so nobody has to watch you guess.

Software without the sales pitch

I have run cases through the systems firms actually buy. I know which ones fix problems and which ones relocate them.

The truth, plainly

I tell paralegals and partners what they need to hear, not what they hoped to. That honesty is the whole product.

The next chapter of my story is yours.
